Can vmware (or ?) run Solaris 7.0 sparc?

Hello

I desperately need to have Solaris 7.0 sparc as a virtual machine I have a (proprietary software that only runs on Solaris 7.0 sparc and the upgrade costs a lot). Can vmware help me?

Suggestions are most welcome.

Many thanks

Ed

To run Solaris Sparc you would need an emulator and not a virtualisation solution. QEMU should be able to do this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QEMU

Here's some information about Sparc: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPARC

Maybe this help ?

Many thanks.  It seems that qemu is the answer as one can see at http://brezular.wordpress.com/2012/02/12/installation-solaris-sparc-2-6-sunos-5-6-on-qemu-part-1-qem...

Cheers
