I have the command bar in VM8 set to auto-hide so that it doesn't obscure full-screen applications running in the VM. The problem is that on a 24" monitor running 1920x1600 resolution, the height of the minimized bar is so small (maybe 2 pixels) that it's very difficult to find and maintain the correct mouse pointer position long enough for the bar to descend.
It would be helpful if we could adjust the size of the minimized bar, or the delay before reacting (so that it is instant). It would also be helpful if the bar could be docked to the sides of the monitor instead of just the top. Given that most monitors available now are wide screen format, I could spare some space on the side and just leave it pinned in the open position.
I've spent quite a bit of time searching for solutions to this problem, and cannot find any way to adjust how that control bar operates. If I've missed something, please let me know. If not, please consider these changes as enhancements.
