Can't resume guest

My Win 7-64 Enterprise guest crashed, and I cannot resume it , which is the only option, as it was not shut down.  When I try to resume, I receive a message of "Failed to get exclusive lock on the configuration file.  Another VMware process might be running using the configuration file."  If I click OK, the next mesage is "Internal error."  I attached a screen shot of my VM folder tree.  I tried to remove the vmx.lck folders, but that did not help.  If nothing else, I'd like to be able to get to a point where I can mount the hard drive. Thanks.

You may delete the .vmss and .vmem files which equals "pulling the power plug" on a physical system.

In any case I'd recommend you backup the folder before trying anything.
