Can't open the VM after recovery

I deleted the Folder with Virtual Machine.

Then decided to recover it because need a files from there.

Files seems good after recovering but i have an error: xxxx.wmx is not a valid vitrual machine configuration file.

I downloaded a tool from here 'log2wmx", and used it. But new file don't appear.

Have i any chances to open the Virtual Machine? Could you help please?

Hi ,

Please download and check your vmx file , it may contain invalid configuration .

Validate how many hdd there and any snapshot disk mentioned there  .

JaguarXF,

If I understand correctly, you want some files from a virtual disk of a deleted VM.

Since you said the recovery of files seems good, why not Map the Virtual Disk to your host or add the recovered Virtual Disk to another working VM to get to the files? You will probably also find out if the virtual disks recovered are also OK this way.
