Can't install host virtual adapters (host only) on any vmnet in workstation pro

Every time I check the host virtual adaptor box then click apply, it takes so much time to install the adaptor but sadly the host box becomes unchecked again. The same issue happens to all vmnets (1-9).

It also seems that my network center can't detect any virtual adaptor on the laptop itself. How can I make virtual adaptors readable on windows 10?and what  steps could I do to be able to make any vmnet "host only"?

This is emergent, looking for a quick response please

thank you,

I'm not sure what exactly you want to achieve eventually/ultimately in terms of networking, in trying what you described.  Nevertheless, I'd leave VMnet1 as well as VMnet0/8 alone because they are default.  If you want to create/use a "custom" network (adapter), you may want to try VMnet2-7/9-.  But, just like VMnet1, all the non-default ones are host-only.
