Can`t install Vista as guest on host XP (Workstation 6.0)

After creating virtual machine for windows Vista x32, and when installation is starting, it hangs after "Windows is loading files ..."

The machine got completely frozen and have to restart powering off the computer.

Tried with different hardware configuration for the VM and always the same. I have reduced the hardware to the minimun and include here the wmware log and config file.

the last "clear" line in log file is ( after that only extrange chars):

I am not complaining about none of them , I just say that I have removed them trying to isolate the problem.

In case it is not clear enough, the problem is that "VISTA DOES NOT INSTALL" .

Of course I tried before with all the stuff (floppy,USB, higher display resolution ..) and the installation hangs ..

Ah - that sounds different.

Well - you configured an ISO as your install-media.

Don't do that - use daemon-tools or - if you get paid per hours use a regular DVD instead.

best - and fastest - option is daemon-tools.

DVD-installs WILL hang if you use

atapi-cdrom as devicetype for the DVD.

On some hosts/DVD commbination it will also hang with devicetype "cdrom-raw"

Thats why I said use daemon-tools

always the same , after "Windos is loading files ..." the computer dies ..

Tried another virtualization software (free by the way) "VirtualBox", perfect ... instalation progress properly , so the iso image file is right !!
