Can't Open a VM server

Hi All,

I have a VMware workstation 15 server that was working yesterday.  Today, it stopped.  Its not listed under My Comupter.  When I try to Open it using "Open a Virtual Machine" click on  the .vmx file, nothing happens.

I have attached the .log file and the image of the directory.

How can I get this server back?

Please help!! Thanks,

Rick

Hi,

I tried searching for VMs and it found the one that I am having issues with.  I added this on to "My Computer".  When I try to start it, I get the attached error.

What can I do to get this running again?

Thanks,

Rick

According to the log file, the virtual disk contains errors, which may cause the issue.

Please download dsfok.zip from http://faq.sanbarrow.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=47&id=111&artlang=en, extract the executables, run the below mentioned command in the VM's folder, then compress/zip the "....bin" file, and attach the .zip archive along with the VM's current configuration (.vmx) file to a reply post

for %i in (*.vmdk) do @dsfo.exe "%i" 0 10551296 "xxx-%~ni.bin"

The command will extract the file's metadata (i.e. no user data).

What I also need is the .vmdk file's exact size in bytes.
