Can'VMware Workstation 16 Pro - Can't add license

Can't add license running Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.

 When applying the license via the GUI, I receive an authentication message. After typing in super user password, nothing happens.

I've attempted via CLI as root with the following:

usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-enter-serial

- Upon typing in the serial number, I receive a segmentation fault error.

Any ideas?
