Can I create a second partition D: in WinXP guestOS?

Assume I created a WinXP guestOS installation in VmWare Workstation.

Can I later create a second partition 😧 in this guestOS ?

Can I use the same PartitionTools (e.g.GParted) like in "real" systems?

Yes you can add a second hard disk later on down the road and use the same tools you did back in the day with physical systems. I do it all the time with workstation and ESX products. You can also detach and reattach vmdk files to different VM's if you like.

Yes. Either add a new virtual disk (recommended) or use free space on the first virtaul disk (if free space is available there).

Yes.

In general a virtual guest pretty much behaves like a physical machine. So many things you can do and how you do them apply to a virtual machine, as well.
