CPU supported in VMware Workstation Pro License

Hi,

I am newbie on VMware.

And I have a Windows Server 2019 Standard with below hardware specification and want to run VM with Linux on it. May I know VMware Workstation Pro license is supported with this hardware sepcifcation and how many CPU resouces are able to assign to this VM?

CPU: Xeon-Gold 6230 (2.1GHz/20 cores) x 2 Qty.

RAM: 128GB (32GB x 4 Qty.)

Storage: 1.92TB SSD x2 Qty.

Yes, it's supported, and your system is more than capable.

Virtual hardware v18 supports the following maximums per VM:

- 128GB of RAM
- 32 CPU cores
- 10 NICs
- 8TB per disk
- 8GB of graphics memory.

Size your VM according to whatever workload you will run inside it. You can always change the compute resources later if you undersize or oversize.
