I'm finally getting ready to upgrade workstation hardware to a nice Core i7 920 box.
To-date I have been running 32-bit XP as the host, and 32-bit Win 7 as my primary guest VM under VMWare Workstaiton 7.
What 64-bit host OS would you recommend? (running 2 or 3 32-bit XP and/or Win 7 VM's)
I don't have any very exotic USB hardware, but do like to pass through a few simple things (barcode scanner, microphone, printer, etc.). I do enjoy multiple monitor support too. (otherwise I might even consider ESXi)
The box ships with Win 7 Home Premium... but I'm open to switching to anything for the Host OS.
