I've been experiencing BSOD's with the network driver (vmnetbridge.sys).
The problem is that always when I got BSOD, I never had Workstation running.
I'm using VMWare Workstation 7.1.0 build-261024.
The first thing I'd try is updating to the latest 7.x version.
