BIOS is missing a required license

hi

brand new to vmware workstation, i installed a windows 7 home premium vm and it cannot be activated, i get the following error;

Software Licencing Service reported that the computer BIOS is missing a required license.

CD Key;   xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx was accepted during install

i used jelly bean keygen to get the key from the computer's hard disk of windows 7 partition

installed vmware on my kubuntu partition, all worked well for 30 days.

i am not familiar with vmware knowlege base, but did not see anything relavent.

if this problem has been answered before, i would appreciate guidence to the answer, if not an answer.

Welcome to the Community,

this sounds as if you were trying to activate your copy of Windows with a hardware bound OEM license which would violate MS's EULA!?

it seems unfair since i am using it on the same hardware.

i guess when you are big enough you write the rules.
