Allow multiple graphical logins on a Linux VM

Linux by its very own nature allows (or allowed) multiple graphical logins from different users in parallel. IIRC this works via remote X sessions or similar approaches.

The standard configuration of VMware seems not to support with this possibility, at least not for a vanilla Ubuntu 18.04.

This means that multiple VMware Workstation Pro clients see the same GUI (virtual monitor) and multiple persons can look each other over the shoulder.

Any hint on how I can configure VMware/Ubuntu 18.04 LTS to behave otherwise, i.e. provide a per client GUI log-in?

BR, Markus

Why not use vnc or every other remote option to provide what you asking for. The vmware console is a representation of what would the physical monitor, its not a remote connection protocol.
