After re-install of Host OS & VMware Workstation 12 Unable to change virtual machine power state: Internal error

Hello,

When I try to start my VM's I get the following error "Unable to change virtual machine power state: Internal error"

This started after I reinstalled my host Centos7 operating system.

I have tried removing the .lck files however this did not work. Not sure how to fix this, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

James

I assume the vmware.log is not even touched with this error!? In this case please attach the VM's configuration (.vmx) file to a reply post. Maybe it contains some entries which may cause issues on the Linux OS.

Perhaps a permissions problem? Need to do a chown and chmod on the directory?

Just a guess.
