Advice about moving Guest OS's

I am creating some W2003 Server Guest OS's on v.6

I notice that if I create them on my laptop - and then move them to store on an external HD for space reasons, then move them back I get messages about creating new UIDs or something

Whats the best practice for moving\storing them etc.

You should be prompted to create a new UUID and you should select "Create"

This prevents having duplicate MAC address of copied VM's.

Try not to move a VM that has snapshots or is suspened.

Thanks Kevin

I also notice being a newbie.......if I rename the Guest OS it doesn't rename the corresponding folder in 'My VM's' automatically - which isn't too useful for identification purposes if I want to move them

If i manually rename the equivalent folder in My VM's it comes up with an error when i try and start it !
