Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro / Hangs in XP VM

I am running a WinXP 32bit VM, and when ever I open a PDF using Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 Pro, Adobe hangs after a few seconds of use.

Are there any known issue w/ Adobe + VMware?

TIA,

I'm using Creative Suite 3, which includes Acrobat 8 Pro, in a XP32 VM. Acrobat works ok for me.

One thing that I had issues with was that the minimum requirements for CS3 was 1GB of RAM. This may be for the other modules, such as Photoshop, and not for Acrobat, but the install of CS3 seemed to fail or go slowly with anything less than 900MB of RAM. So I have left my VM at 1GB of RAM. Adobe's website says 256MB min, 512MB recommended for Acrobat 8 Pro. Maybe try bumping of the RAM on the VM if you're less than 512MB.

A reboot fixed my problems, but thanks for the feedback asatoran,

Also noticed another lockup/issue, when ever I right clicked a file or folder it would hang explorer.exe, after further review it seems that "Windows Desktop Search" was the culprit so un-installed and now all is well. Smiley Happy

Thanks,
