Adding extra drive space

Here is the setup that I am running. I installed workstation 7.1 on top of a Windows 2003 std 64 bit server. The physical server is connected to a 6 terabyte MD1000. What I would like to do is present the storage to the workstation so that it thinks that the drive is internal to it. Is there a way to do this? If I try to create a VMDK inside of the workstation it is limited to 2 terabytes. The request I have is to grant access to 4 terabytes.

Yes, WS has a 2 TB file size limit.

I don't know what the guest OS is but your choices are to either pass the device through to the guest or add a second 2 TB hard disk to the guest and use the native tools of the guest to manage the storage. Either Windows Disk Manager or Linux LVM.
