AMD Phenom II X6 1055T and VM Workstation, will it work?

Hi!

Im planning to buy a new desktop computer. Will AMD Phenom II X6 1055T and the VM Workstation work well? Any experiance is appreciated. I will use Win 7 x64 as my OS.

I will use maybe 2 ESXi.

VM workstation 7 works great with the AMD X6 chips. I've built two of them.

not all AMD will allow ESX-VMs in Workstation so check carefully

Maybe I go with the Intel i7 instead then.

But if you look at the note:

"but current  VMware products only support AMD-V on Family 10H or later  AMD64  processors (Barcelona/Shanghai/Istanbul or Phenom/Phenom II"

Then the AMD Phenom II should work with nested VMs or have i missed something here?
