Hey Everybody, I am buying a desktop soon and I will be multiple esxi servers on it max 3 and run couple VMs on those esxi servers so I was wondering if AMD Bulldozer 8 cores is a good processor to get that done with 16gb of RAM as opposed to the i7 intel processors. Thanks for your help.
Hello and welcome to the communities.
I think you will be just fine with that setup. Memory is usually the problem with the nested lab setups, and I have run the same setup you describe on a much older and less powerful processor many times with great results.
Great, I actually want to virtualize the cisco call manager and unity connection i did so on a intel centrino with 4gb of RAM but it was very slow so I think the amd processor will do the job. It's way cheaper than intel so hopefully it works
