A fault has occured causing a virtual CPU to enter the shutdown state.

Hey guys Smiley Happy

i got a failure-message while installing an Ubuntu OS to my VMWare Workstation =(

The Environment:

I have got a multiboot environment on my laptop (Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04) and want to use the Ubuntu from the Windows host.

The configuration of the Ubuntu VM was very easy and ran perfect (with HDD from an existing partition). But when i try to boot the Ubuntu i got this failure message:

A fault has occured causing a virtual CPU to enter the shutdown state. If this fault has occured outside of a virtual machine, it would have caused the physical machine to restart. The shutdown state can be reached by incorrectly configuring the virtual machine, a bug in the guest operating system, or a problem in VMware Workstation. Click OK to restart the virtual machine or Cancel to power off the virtual machine.

Can somebody help me please? Smiley Sad Attached you will find the Debug-Log while booting this machine.

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards

Florian
