host: x86 xp sp3, guest: x86 xp sp3, remote machine: x86 xp sp3
to reproduce:
1) connect from the remote machine to the host machine with xp remote desktop client
2) start ws 7.0.0 and the guest
3) none of the techniques for grabbing input (mousing over, clicking on the guest, Ctrl+G, Main menu > Vm > Grab input) work
4) vmware tools make no diffeernece, neither does guest hardware version
this worked in 6.x.x
Please check that "Use enhanced virtual keyboard" is unchecked in the client VM (under VM | Settings...|Options|General").

I'm experiencing the same problem. I did find the enhanced virtual keyboard setting, and unchecked the box. However, the setting won't persist: when I press OK and then re-enter the settings dialog, the box is once again checked.
Any ideas?
