64-bit host system can't install 64-bit VMware?

I installed VMware workstation 8.0 on my computer with Windows 7 (64-bit), but all the precessors about VMware is 32bit and it can't run a 64-bit guest system.

the cpu in my computer doesn't support VT.

is it because of the cpu?

If it is an Intel CPU, yes.  See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1003945: Hardware and firmware requirements for 64-bit guest operating systems.

HI zero2 zero

your win 32 bits is not part of the problem !

you're probably using an unsupported combination of CPU / Motherboard / Bios.

if cpu does not support VT ,its typical to install.
