Anyone else having issues with this upgrade?
Since I have installed the above update, my virtual machines are running like a 80286!!!!!!!
AND, hard drive I/O is 100%
Any suggestions?

From you description, the VM disk I/O is 100%, could you upload the vmware.log? How about the disk I/O on host?
I think you can try to increase the vcpu to have a try.
