0xc0000005 error when starting VM (Workstation 15.5.7)

On 15.5.7 build-17171714, host OS is Windows 11 Home on a MS Surface Pro 9.

Tried to fire up a VM (any VM actually), and ran into this:

I have HyperV etc turned off:

I've attached vmware.log, but couldn't find any clues on why this is happening. Would someone be able to help?

Windows 11 is not a supported host operating system for Workstation 15. Support started with Workstation 16.2.

Have you tried Workstation 16.2.x or 17?
