what can i do with lot of s00*.vmdk files

hey,

i run a Linux Mint (Ubuntu based) system.

in my vmware player i have a windows 10 virtual machine.

i have a lot of files windows_10_x64_s00*.vmdk.

is it possible to manage all these files ? to reduce them to only one ?

can't find anything in vmware tools.

Welcome to the Community,

VMware Player uses a "2GB Sparse" file format by default, which divides the VM's virtual disk into slices. In previous versions the maximum size of a slice was 2GB, with newer versions the size of a single file depends on the virtual disk's provisioned size. If you want you can create monolithic virtual disk files, i.e. a single .vmdk file. However, the 2GB sparse format has several advantages, like increasing the virtual disk size doesn't require a full copy (i.e. time and disk temporary space) ...
