I'm suffering the issue for several days and I've tried all the ways found on the internet but none worked:
- remove the hcmon.sys under c:\windows\system32\drivers; (negative because I don't have this file under the dir)
- remove the hcmon driver by "device manager -> Non plug and play drivers"; (negative because I don't have the driver)
- run the installer as Adminstrator; (negative)
- delete the VMUSBArbService; (negative)
- cleanup all the items related to vmware and hcmon in Registry and the hard disk; (negative)
- disable the AntiVirus software; (negative)
I have no idea now except reinstall the OS completely.
