Hi folks.
Host is Ubuntu 11.04, vmplayer 3.1.4. Guest is Debian 5.0. vmware-tools is installed.
Here's the problem - if X11 is started during the boot process (ie. through an /etc/init.d script, or
via rc.local), I am unable to get any keyboard response. The mouse works fine. If X11 is started
after logging in at the console and running "startx", then the keyboard functions as expected.
I've searched online and seen others complaining of similar problems, but have not found a
solution.
Can anybody explain what's happening? Is there a solution?
