how to burn vmware image on a CD

Hi,

I downloaded the VMWare Player and VMWare Converter on my harddisk. I tried creating the VM image using the converter and saved it on my harddrive.I am able to play it properly using the VMplayer installed. However if I copy the same image to a CD drive; the Read Only image cannot be opened using the VMPlayer software. I am trying to figure out a way to have an image that can be booted using a CD. Please suggest

Thanks in advance

Dines

Deleted duplicate thread (in the Fusion forums).

In general we expect virtual machines to be writable (such as the virtual disk) - I would not expect this scenario to work. There may be flags you can use to redirect writes elsewhere (wuch as to temporary files), but I don't know what they are or even if they exist. Another possible idea is to use a bootable USB stick instead of a CD.
