firefox won't display ipv6.google.com in windows 7 Pro guest from an Ubuntu host.

Greetings,

This is my first post here.  So please excuse if this has been posted before (search of this site didn't show anything relevant). I've been using first vmware workstation 7.1 until my student eval license ran out now just vmware player 3.1.4.  I am currently running Ubuntu 10.10 64bit.  I have miredo installed and shorewall6 stopped.  I am able from my host to browse to ipv6.google.com and ping it w/o issue.  However, firefox in my is unable to display the page, but I can ping it from a cmd prompt.  What could be blocking my guest from rendering that page?  My host has a teredo address as does my host.

Just an update.  I need to correct my previous post regarding ping external ipv6 hosts.  I am unable to do that. Tired eyes.  I did check windows firewall settings in and out.  Every rule with an ipv6 in its title was enabled and allowed.  Could vmware_player be blocking this access?  Any suggestions?

Thanks again,
