I'm real new at linux so if this is a silly question!
I downloaded vm player to my Windows x64 pro and was able to download and use a distribution.
Next time I tried to boot a virtual system I get "Unable to open kernel device "
.\vmx86": The system cannot find the file specified. Did you reboot after installing VMware Player?
Failed to initialize monitor device."
I figured that possibly the file got corrupted some how so I uninstalled VMplayer and installed a new copy via download. Again operated satisfactorily. When the computer was restarted I again got the message, "unable to open..."
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
