Dear all,
I a newbie with VM tech. I just finish to install VM Workstation player 17 and I use a Windows 10 x64 OS.
When I run the virtual machine using not my screen resolution the system works perfectly, but when I try to set the correct resolution for my screen the virtual machine becomes slow, there is a big lag between my input and the system response.
I already try to change settings into the VM settings in order to try to give it more resource (without pass the physical limit), but nothing works.
Have you some suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance
Dear all,
thanks for your support.
Finally afeter several days (too many days) I had time to try to follow your suggestions and seemes that now my VM works proprerly
Thanks very much
Have you installed VMTools in the VM? This is needed for graphics and cursor acceleration.
Thanks for your reply.
I don't know is VMTools is installed..where can I check it? Is possible install it now or I must unistall and install again VMWare?
thanks
Sorry if I push you...but is there someone that can help me to understand how check if VMTools is installed and which version use?
Thanks
Well, after installing the OS, did you then install the VMware Tools? If so, then there might be a tray icon in the guest which can tell you the version.
If you have VMTools installed, you should be able to find it in the Windows "Add or remove programs" UI as "VMware Tools". VMTools installs the VMware SVGA graphics driver by default.
To specifically check for the VMware SVGA graphics driver, you can go to the device manager by running "devmgmt.msc" -> Display adapters -> VMware SVGA 3D -> properties -> "This device is working properly" , and note the driver date and version on the Driver tab.
