I've seen this on 2 separate VMWare Workstation Player 16.2.4 environments. Installing latest Windows 10 updates causes Windows to freeze on startup. Only solution is to restart it a few times to let Windows Automatic Repair go through and revert the updates. Windows bug? VMWare bug?
