Win32 exception detected, exceptionCode 0xc0000005 (access violation)

Hey,

This morrning, my VM did not correctly boot the first time.

Here is the log given (and the Dump file)

You are running a very old vmplayer version 2.5.2 on Windows 7 - 64 ?
did it really work before ?
why dont you use the latest of the 2.5 series ?

Because of a group policy.

We actually are using an application only working on 64b stations, and also other "smaller ones" only running on 32b stations.

Thats why 64b workstations were bought, with a "vmware 32b package with all needed softwares already installed"

so what has changed ?

new BIOS settings ?
new firewall or antivirus tools ?

Yep, it perfectly worked until this morning

According to the concerned user, an antivirus update asked him to reboot the physical machine the day before
