Win XP crashed on reboot and VMPlayer stuck forever

Hi

my Win XP in WMPlayer crashed and restarted. However it the froze when trying to restart.

Now, when I open WMPlayer, it shows my the frozen/crashed  Win XP start up screen.

Is there anyway to fix this with out having to create a new virtual machine (and hence have to install windows & other software again)?

Thanks in advance.

With VMware Player closed, delete the .vmss file in the Virtual Machine's Folder.  This is like pulling the plug on a Physical Machine, anything not saved and in memory only is lost however if the Virtual Machine will not resume then you really don't have a choice.
