After instruction 10, which I obeyed, it said: “View the shared folder. On Linux guests, shared folders appear under /mnt/hgfs.” However, inside folder “mnt” there is no other entry. I looked at other folders, but alas nothing.
I have installed the tools via this command: “sudo install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop”. And checked it is working with this command: “systemctl status vmtoolsd”.
