Waiting for connection

I am using VMWare Workstation 14 Player with Win2000 as the host system. It has been working fin for a long time until yesterday, when I ran it and am hung up on a screen saying "waiting for connection" with a dashed square above it. I changed nothing; it just started happening. I created a second virtual machine which works fine, but I need the files and programs off the first one, so I need to know either how to fix the problem or access the files. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi

You can add an existing virtual disk. Specify the path name and filename for the existing disk file.

To find the disk of VM:

Diego,

Thank you for the response. However, the disk was not created. When I saw a second disk in the list New Hard Disk (SCSI), clicked OK and got this:

Any thoughts?

You will need to verify that there are no .lck files or folders in the VM's directory.

If exist, take backup of VM directory and delete that folder or file (*.lck).
