Vmnetcfg.exe not Installing ?

Hi,

I have installed Vmware Player 4.0.exe ,but vmnetcfg.exe is not installing . If I doubleclick the vmnetcfg.exe ,nothing is happening .what could be the problem ?

using windows 7 as OS

I have installed Vmware Player 4.0.exe ,but vmnetcfg.exe is not  installing .

This is by design. If you need the Virtual Network Editor you have to manually extract it from the installation package (network.cab).

If I doubleclick the vmnetcfg.exe ,nothing is happening

Did you copy the .exe file to the VMware Player's installation folder?

Yes , copied the vmnetcfg.exe to Vmware Player ,but still its not installing

Can youn confirm you extracted the vmnetcfg.exe from the network.cab included in the installation package?

• VMware-player-v.x.x-nnnnnn.exe /e .\extract
• open the “network.cab” and copy vmnetcfg.exe to your installation folder (e.g. “C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player”)
