Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform

Hello Team,

I've tried installing the Eve-NG and there appears this error message below:

Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform.

Continue without virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT?

Following steps already done:

* Disabled Hyper-V;

* Virtualization already enable on BIOS;

I have on my Laptop that configuration:

Sistem Operation: Win11 Home Version 21H2

CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1240P 1.70 GHz

Memory: 16.0 GB

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/memory-integrity-greyed-out-or-wont-turn-on-off
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity
change the value of Enabled key to 0

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/identity-protection/credential-guard/credential-gu...
1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard.
2. Add a new DWORD value named EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity. Set the value of this registry setting to 0
3. Add a new DWORD value named RequirePlatformSecurityFeatures. Set the value of this registry setting to 0

the last 2 also mandatory otherwise u can't ping vm although vm can ping gw

I have fixed this issue after disabling:

HYPER-V

Open Windows Security -> Device Security -> Core Isolation and make sure Memory Integrity is “Off”

all this has been posted on the following link

https://bhanuwriter.com/virtualized-amd-v-rvi-is-disabled/

----------------

when Memory Integrity is on... I get the issue

when Memory Integrity is on... I DO NOT get the issue

---------------

This has been the unique fix I have found to be working for me. I hope it helps.

I'm also having the same problem right now but I don't know how to handle it.

I have a problem about my new LENOVO laptop with 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1260P.
I want to run EVE-NG virtual machine in VMware Workstation and run Linux-ubuntu-server virtual machine inside EVE-NG, but I get this error: Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform.
Continue without virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT?

I think the problem lies in my device's chip

Can you help?

Thanks

Check the vmware.log file of your EVE-NG vm, and look for the line starting with "Monitor Mode". If it's "ULM", you're using Hyper-V instead of the VMware hypervisor.

Make sure any Windows feature relating to Hyper-V or Hypervisor Platform(s) are turned off.

Disable Memory Integrity/VBS settings: Windows Security -> Device Security -> Core Isolation and turn off the "Memory Integrity" slider

Disable any Hyper-V activity by launching a command prompt as administrator and executing bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

Then try the EVE-NG VM again.
