Virtual network interfaces in vista firewall

Hi,

I performed all steps to not consider virtual interfaces as a real network interfaces. I added *NdisDeviceType = 1 DWORD value in the registry and indeed interfaces disappeared from the network list. Unfortunatelly my netwok is a public one and firewall blocks communication from vmware. Apart from those changes I unchecked both virtaul interfaces from the firewall list. I read a lot of advices in google but most of them suggested add mentioned value to the registry. Ping is working only if I changed network to a private type.

Did you manage to solve this kind of problem?

did you extract vmnetcfg.exe already and disabled automatic bridging ?
