I am using version above to run 2 VMs (Win10 and Ubuntu 16.2x), If I am connected to the network via LAN, there are no issues with my Guest OS, they can bridge and use the internet.
But using my WIFI for my guest OS, my 2 VM's can't seem to get connected to the internet. Any way of solving this issue?
Thanks,
I had similar problems when I was using 17 Player (I even tried Workstation 17 Pro for the custom network config) and I couldn't get it to work properly on wifi but wired ethernet worked great. After reading some posts I tried rolling back to earlier versions (I was using 17.0.1). Installing 16.2.5 works fine and 17.0.0 seems to be working ok for now. Upgrading to 17.0.1 breaks bridged wifi connections. Try rolling back to 16.2.5 and see if that fixes things.
I have downgraded VM Player to 17.0, still has the same issue.
I have downgraded to 16.2.5 and the HW module is not supported by the old version. I have no choice but to use the 17.1 or 17.0 but then again the WIFI bridge mode is not working. I can't test another VM since this VM has been created in VBox by our desktop team with the standard applications and corporate-approved patches. I have to convert it to VMware format in order to run this. Is there a way to check the Linux VM and see why it's not working in WIFI bridged mode?
