What video card is emulated in a VMware virtual machine?

It is a VMware SVGA II video card. See the guest hardware specs in the User Manual (see the Workstation user manual if the Player one does not have the info).

Thanks. Can you tell me if it provides any raster capabilities?

I ask, because I created a Win98SE VM using Virtual PC 2007, specifically so I could use a version of Sierra PrintArtist that won't work correctly with newer OSs. But to my dismay, PrintArtist wouldn't work, saying that I needed to update the video drivers because PrintArtist requires raster capabilities. I had the thing working on a 10-year-old Pentium II with its original video card, but the video card that Virtual PC 2007 emulates doesn't even have the capabilities of that old card. So I'm wondering if VMware might work for me with PrintArtist. Any idea?
