VMware Workstation Player 17 - No Access Control or Encryption Option?

Moving from iOS to Windows 11 and am trying out VMware Workstation Player 17 non-commercial to see how it runs vs Fusion on Mac. Just finished installing Windows 10 and I thought that encryption was available on the Player version, but there doesn’t seem to be an option available under settings. Does Microsoft hyper-v interfere with this or has 17 Player dropped support for encryption? Do I have to purchase the Pro version to get this feature? Online docs say it should be there under Access Control but there is no such option. What am I missing?

I’ve read the manual. There is NO option to encrypt either during or after installing the VM.

Hi,

https://store-us.vmware.com/compare_workstation

There is no encryption option in Workstation Player like you say.

It should however be possible to create a VM with a vTPM (haven't tried myself yet), at least according to the official comparison from the vmware shop.
