VMware Tools error 1719

Hello,

Just installed VMware Player 3.0 onto an Opensuse 11.2 x64 host system.

Upon installing windows xp as a guest system I got a

"VMware tools error 1719. Windows Installer service could bot be accessed. This can occur if you are running windows in safe mode ..."

things seem to be working, I cannot find any information out on this...

any suggestions,

i dunno if this has anything to do with vmware tools but when checked the xp install > device manager I saw 3 issues (question marks):

1) Base System Device

2) USB

3) Video Controller.

also tried to connect a generic usb flash drive to the computer, it was recognized by vmware player, but not windows xp

any suggestions?

Figured it out, something funky... just reinstalled the vmware tools on the guest XP.... later I still couldn't get the USB working, there was (2) different sections in Device Manager that had USB (one was unknown, the other was vmware)...so I deleted the unknown, rebooted and everything works great.
