I am having this issue as well. Someone please help! the problem appears to be occurring immediately after a soft reset of the vcpu:

I was able to bypass this issue by proper cpu allocations. In the virtual machine settings, change the number of processors to 1. It is unfortunate that VMware has not resolved this issue in their latest release. VMware team - please review this issue and correct the problem. I cannot allocate multiple processor cores.

ok finally figured out the issue. I feel a bit stupid, but here goes.... The issue mainly laid with the resolution of the host OS Vs. the guest OS. To fix my Issue I had to drop the Host resolution to 1920x1080. Next force the Guest OS to the same in the settings of the VM disable 3D acceleration. This has to be done on each VM you try and run or so it was for me. Since I did not create the VM's I was working I didn't look to see they all had different resolution settings. you win some you loose some!
