VMWare Workstation Player 16 closes automatically after shutting down guest

Every time I shut down a guest, the application closes automatically.  How do I disable this?  I can't seem to find it in the preferences.

That's how VMware Player works..
If you don't want that, then you need VMware Workstation Professional.

Is there plan change this behaviour? It is super annoying. At my home desktop I have bought Workstation, but at company notebook, we have only player. No chance to buy it for company notebook. This behaviour encourages me to return back to Virtualbox.
