Hello all.
I have the following environment:
1. Ubuntu 11.10 host
2. VMWare Player 4.0.2.
3. Guest OS is Windows 7x64
Windows image is placed inside a folder where only administrator has write permissions.
Question:
How, if at all, can a user with read-only permission open the image in VMWare Player?
As far as I understand, when the image is opened in VMWare Player, some data are always written to the image files. So a user with read-only permissions can't open the image in a straight-forward way.
