VMWare Player and Windows 95

Before anyone asks the reason I need W95 running in VMWare Player is that I have Micro Focus Visual Object Cobol which will only work correctly under W95 (I've tried it under XP and though it installs fine it wll not produce .EXE files and there are other unpredictable happenings). I currently have VisOC running fine under W95 OSR2.5 in Virtual PC 2004 on my XP machine.

However I have a new Windows 7 64-bit laptop and Virtual PC 2004 will not install. I don't want to install XP mode since, in my experience, it's somewhat flaky. So having had a good experience with VMWare Player and XP Pro as a guest I want to install W95.

Questions:

(a) is Windows 95 supported by VMWare Player?

(b) are there VMWare Player Tools available which will allow, for example, running W95 in full-screen mode (as opposed to a small box in the middle of the screen)

(c) if people have successfully installed W95 are there any specific issues I need to be aware of or 'gotchas' to avoid?

TIA
