VMWare Player and Open Suse internet connection

Hi,

im using vmware player 3.1.3 and mounted in it an .iso of OpenSuse 11.3.

everything works fine, except the internet connection.

for example, when i try to go to a website with firefox the page never displays.

what do i have to do, so that the internet works?

thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

You need to tell us what your host OS is.

You need to add a virtual NIC to the virtual guest.

You need to have a VMware bridge or NAT connection configured.

You need to install the appropriate NIC driver in the guest. Depending on which NIC type is configured in the .vmx file of the guest. Look for the line "ethernet0.virtualDev = "". Set it to "e1000" so you can use the driver supllied with openSuse.
