this is a built in feature of vmware and it doesnt work properly can someone please help me with it i just want to be able to copy/paste a clipboard
The VMware Tools for Linux guests have more or less been deprecated, and are only recommended for older Linux OS's. Most modern Linux systems use the open-vm-tools. There are two different packages - one handling the drivers and another handling the desktop (copy/paste, etc). Make sure you have installed both.
sorry meant to say my host is debian but im trying to get a windows 11 vm working i installed the vmwaretools 12.30 on the w11 guest i can copy anything except folders and zip files
